Ask For Janice is a laid-back bar and restaurant with an emphasis on local, fresh produce, foraged greens and cocktails, craft beers, unfiltered wine and perfect serve gin. They’re located opposite Smithfield Market and right next to the Barbican and Farringdon.

Their mouth-watering menu includes classic fresh homemade crumpets with butter and house jam, free-range eggs on toasted sourdoughs and the popular avocado, chilli and coriander on sourdough toast. The homemade crumpets are also a must-order. Pair your breakfast with coffees from Coleman and teas from Metrodeco.

Weekends at Ask for Janice are all about bottomless brunch – think dishes such as baked egg with merguez sausage, roasted peppers and yoghurt, AFJ Bloody Mary baked beans on sourdough with horseradish cream, and Bavette steak with roasted field mushroom on bone marrow toast and smoked tomato dressing. Sip away on your Bloody Mary, Bucks Fizz or Salty Dog.
