Bean & Hop focuses on exactly what you’d expect from their name: great coffee and great beer. The team goes through specific roastery training to maintain exceptional coffee standards, and they stock over 50 different types of craft beer from as near as 200 yards away, all the way to New Zealand.
The breakfast menu gives traditional dishes a contemporary edge, while maintaining high quality standards for their ingredients. Customer favourites include the smashed avocado with chorizo and sunny side up eggs, and the poached eggs with sumac hollandaise on homemade grilled muffins. Bean & Hop also offer daily specials, which often cater to veggie, vegan and gluten-free diets.
The spacious cafe has white walls hung with artwork, mismatched furniture and large shopfront windows which lets in plenty of natural light. The dominating decor element is an impressive display of craft beer running along the entire back wall. While on weekdays the place is popular with freelancers and local parents in need of a caffeine fix, weekends see fast-moving queues of brunch-lovers ready for their ‘food fix’.
