Jacob the Angel is named after the first coffee house opened in England in 1651 (by, unsurprisingly, a man called Jacob). The cosy space has seated areas both inside and outside, for those who prefer not to have their breakfast on-the-go.
Everything sold in the shop is made from scratch each morning, which includes bread, cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. The breakfast menu is small, but offers something for everyone, with signature dishes such as eggs & avocado on challah, homemade granola, and their Instagram-famous tahini madeleines. The customer favourite, however, are their Jerusalem bagels filled with smoked trout and cream cheese.
While eating breakfast, sip on their artisan coffee, made from Square Mile beans.
