I’ve been to the beautiful Honey & Smoke a couple of times, both in big groups. Spread across two spacious floors, it’s got a contagious energy that puts a smile on your face as soon as you step in from the busy streets of Fitzrovia. Owned by the same team behind Honey & Co. and Honey & Spice, you’re in the presence of breakfast royalty!

Their Middle Eastern breakfast menu caters extremely well for both sweet and savoury. The poached eggs with baba ganoush have to be my favourite but the red shakshuka with a milk bun is delicious too and comes in at a close second.

One of the reasons I love going out for breakfast is to try dishes that I would never create myself at home. The lahooh pancakes with lemon mascarpone, poached rhubarb & blood orange certainly hit this brief and are an experience you won’t forget and will be returning for more. Whilst I’m not one to often share my breakfasts, the unbelievably interesting choices available here means that I simply have to and everything is amazing.

Whilst both times I’ve visited, my friends and I have been celebrating occasions, there were plenty of other diners there in smaller groups and all seemed to be having a great time. If you haven’t been already, start planning as it’s one to remember!
